This could help improve your financial situation and put a longer term solution in place so you can remain living in your home.
How we can help
You may be able to take advantage of their professional advice and experience in the sale and rent back market. They normally recommend SRB providers who offer a buy back option so you can retain the right contractually to buy back your home within the tenancy term when your situation improves.
Entering into a sale and rent back agreement can be a positive move to assist you, full details of all aspects of entering into a sale and rent back agreement will be explained to you in detail before you make any decisions by an experienced SRB adviser.
How Sale and Rent Back works
The sale and rent back provider can purchase your property at a fair market price and you then rent the property back from them. Full details will be explained to you in detail by both your sale and rent back adviser and the recommended sale and rent back provider. They will first review your personal circumstances and assess your suitability and ability to be able to afford the rental payment required within the sale and rent back agreement. The sale and rent back adviser will introduce you to a FSA authorised Sale and Rent Back Provider who normally offer their tenants a buy back option which they will explain fully to you, giving you the stability you seek.
If you enter into a sale and rent back agreement you are unlikely to get the market value of your home and, as a tenant, may only be able to remain there for a limited period. There may be other options available. Please ask for a key terms statement. The government introduced legislation from 1-7-2009 to regulate Sale and Rent Back (SRB) agreements and all firms that are either SRB providers, administrators, advise upon and/or arrange SRB agreements. The contents of this page reflect that legislation.
Update February 2012
The Sale and Rent Back market has been temporarily closed down by the FSA pending a
full review. As a responsible company we are therefore unable to refer any of our customers who require a Rent
Back solution to companies who operate in this market, at this time.
We do however have a number of other solutions available to anyone requiring a quick sale which may enable
you to remain in your property. Contact us now for further details.
Everybody made a difficult decision very easy and were very helpful. Everything was explained well and nothing was too much trouble.
